Band 7 Pharmacist – Oncology (NHS Experience Required)
📍 Location: Southend-On-Sea, Essex
📝 Contract: Locum
💷 Rate: £312 per day
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30, to start ASAP
📆 Duration: Three months initially, with view to extend

 
Are you an experienced and motivated pharmacist with a passion for oncology? We are looking for a skilled Band 7 Pharmacist to join our specialist team and support the safe, effective delivery of cancer services.

About the Role

As a key member of our oncology pharmacy team, you will:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy input to oncology and haematology services.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
• Support the safe prescribing, preparation, and administration of systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).
• Lead on clinical governance, audits, and service improvement initiatives within oncology.
• Act as a mentor for junior pharmacists and contribute to staff development.

About You

We are seeking a pharmacist who can hit the ground running in a busy oncology setting. You must have:
✔ NHS oncology pharmacy experience
✔ Proven experience with ChemoCare prescribing system
✔ Completed SACT Passport (mandatory)
✔ Strong clinical knowledge of systemic anti-cancer therapies
✔ Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
✔ GPHC Registration
