🔹 £25,000–£28,000 per annum, dependent on experience
🔹 Monthly performance-related bonus
🔹 Location: K2, Kents Hill, Milton Keynes, MK42 0FB
🔹 Office Based (Flexi start 8am-5pm / 8:30-5:30/ 9am-6pm)
🔹 Experience: Preferably 1 year healthcare recruitment experience

The Role
As a Compliance Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring that our Doctors, Nurses and AHPs are fully compliant and appropriately cleared before they are placed into work.

You will manage the compliance process from obtaining initial documentation through to final clearance, ensuring that all required checks are completed accurately, efficiently and within the required timescales.

You will work closely with healthcare professionals, Recruitment Consultants, our Medical Team and clients to ensure we continue to meet the high standards expected by our NHS clients and healthcare frameworks.

This is a busy and varied role where accuracy, organisation, communication and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end compliance process for Doctors, Nurses and AHPs.
  • Obtain, review and verify candidate documentation.
  • Complete professional registration checks, including GMC, NMC and relevant AHP professional bodies.
  • Complete DBS and PVG etc. checks where required.
  • Obtain and verify professional references.
  • Verify qualifications, identity and Right to Work documentation.
  • Check candidate files against relevant NHS, client and framework requirements.
  • Monitor compliance expiry dates and ensure renewals are completed on time.
  • Communicate directly with Doctors, Nurses and AHPs to obtain outstanding documentation.
  • Build strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Work closely with Recruitment Consultants to ensure candidates are cleared quickly and correctly.
  • Identify missing information, discrepancies and potential compliance risks.
  • Escalate compliance concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate and fully auditable candidate records.
  • Ensure candidate files meet Pertemps Medical's internal compliance standards.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure candidate information is handled securely and in accordance with GDPR and company policies.
  • Keep up to date with relevant healthcare recruitment and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of compliance processes and standards.
  • Take ownership of your candidate portfolio and ensure outstanding compliance requirements are actively progressed.

Monthly Performance Bonus
In addition to your basic salary, you will have the opportunity to earn a monthly performance-related bonus.

The bonus is linked to the number of healthcare professionals you successfully take through the compliance process and who become fully compliant and actively working.

Your performance will therefore directly contribute to your earning potential, with the opportunity to increase your monthly bonus by successfully getting more candidates fully compliant and working.

Training & Support
You don't need to know everything from day one.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure you understand our systems, processes, frameworks and the "Pertemps Medical way" of working.

We are looking for someone who already has a strong understanding of the healthcare recruitment environment and is keen to develop their compliance knowledge.

You will receive training on our internal compliance processes and standards, including the requirements relevant to the healthcare professionals we place.

You will also be supported by an experienced Compliance Team while developing your knowledge of NHS frameworks, healthcare compliance and audit requirements.

What matters most is that you are organised, proactive, willing to learn and committed to getting things right.

What We're Looking For Essentially
  • Minimum 1 year's experience within healthcare recruitment.
  • A good understanding of the healthcare recruitment environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple candidates and competing deadlines.
  • Confident communicating with Doctors, Nurses, AHPs and internal teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically in a busy environment.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using internal systems.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a wider team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within healthcare compliance.
Desirable
Previous healthcare compliance experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Experience or knowledge of any of the following would also be beneficial:
  • NHS recruitment.
  • CQC requirements.
  • Workforce Alliance frameworks.
  • Health Trust Europe (HTE).
  • DBS/PVG processes.
  • GMC, NMC or AHP registration checks.
  • Healthcare references.
  • Supporting compliance audits.
  • Working within a regulated environment.

The Person
We are looking for someone who is:

Organised
Able to manage a busy workload, prioritise effectively and keep on top of multiple candidate files.

Detail-focused
Able to spot errors, inconsistencies and missing information and understands the importance of getting compliance right.

Proactive
Someone who takes ownership of outstanding requirements and actively progresses candidates rather than waiting to be asked.

Able to work under pressure, manage deadlines and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.

Team-focused
Willing to support colleagues and contribute positively to the wider Compliance and Recruitment Teams.

Professional
Understands the importance of confidentiality, GDPR and handling sensitive candidate information appropriately.
